According to a recent report from Vietnam’s *Investment News* on April 7, the Vietnam Shipbuilding Industry Corporation announced that a 53,000-ton freighter built at the Guangning Halong Shipyard was launched this week and is set to be exported to the UK. This marks the largest vessel ever constructed by a Vietnamese shipyard. The company has entered into a significant contract with a British shipbuilder to construct 21 ships, valued at a total of $400 million.
