China-Japan Auto Parts Industry Investment Fair held in Japan

On the weekend, the "First China-Japan Auto Parts Industry Investment Fair" was successfully held in Tokyo, Japan. Organized by the China Automotive Dealers Association and hosted by Wanbo Dongfang (Beijing) International Investment Consulting Co., Ltd., the event brought together industry leaders, government officials, and business representatives from both countries. The fair received strong support from the Chinese Embassy in Japan and the Japan Trade Promotion Agency. Industry experts from China shared insights into Japan's automotive development policies and the growing investment opportunities in China. Government officials and business leaders from both nations took turns delivering speeches, highlighting the importance of strengthening Sino-Japanese cooperation in the auto parts sector. Over 100 participants engaged in meaningful discussions on collaboration across seven key areas: automotive engines, chassis, body parts, electronic components, tires, automotive products, and molds. A significant milestone was achieved when the Japan-China Science and Technology International Exchange Center and the China Automobile Circulation Association signed a letter of intent to enhance future cooperation. According to Chen Xiaoyu, Secretary-General of the Auto Parts International Cooperation Committee of the China Automotive Dealers Association, the event aligned with the rapid growth of China’s auto industry and the ongoing shift of Japanese auto parts production overseas. China has now established six major automotive industrial clusters across the northeast, Beijing, Tianjin, central China, southwest, Yangtze River Delta, and Pearl River Delta regions. Developing an auto parts manufacturing base has become a crucial opportunity and challenge for China’s automotive sector. As the world’s second-largest automobile producer, Japan possesses advanced technology in auto parts manufacturing. Many well-known Japanese automakers have already set up production facilities in China. These favorable conditions are laying a solid foundation for deeper exchanges and long-term cooperation between the two nations in the automotive industry.
