The "First China-Japan Auto Parts Industry Investment Fair" was recently held in Tokyo, Japan, organized by the China Automotive Dealers Association and supported by Wanbo Dongfang (Beijing) International Investment Consulting Co., Ltd. This event received strong backing from the Chinese Embassy in Japan and the Japan Trade Promotion Agency, highlighting its significance in fostering bilateral cooperation.
During the fair, experts from China's automotive sector shared insights into Japan's industry policies and the growing investment opportunities in China. Japanese companies were given a comprehensive overview of the potential for collaboration in the auto parts sector. Representatives from both governments and the business community participated in discussions, emphasizing the importance of strengthening ties between the two nations.
Over 100 participants engaged in in-depth conversations on seven key areas: automotive engines, chassis systems, body components, electronic parts, tires, automotive products, and molds. A significant milestone was reached when the Japan-China Science and Technology International Exchange Center and the China Automobile Circulation Association signed a letter of intent to deepen their cooperation.
According to Chen Xiaoyu, Secretary-General of the Auto Parts International Cooperation Committee of the China Automobile Dealers Association, the event came at an opportune time as China's auto industry continues to grow rapidly, and Japanese automakers increasingly look to expand production overseas. With six major industrial clusters already established across the country, including in the Northeast, Beijing-Tianjin, Central China, Southwest, Yangtze River Delta, and Pearl River Delta regions, China is well-positioned to become a global hub for auto parts manufacturing.
Japan, being the second-largest automobile producer in the world, brings advanced technology and expertise to the table. Many leading Japanese automakers have already set up manufacturing facilities in China, creating a solid foundation for future collaboration. As both countries continue to strengthen their economic ties, this fair marks an important step toward building a more integrated and sustainable automotive supply chain between China and Japan.
