On August 3, China's first 1605 kW large-capacity, high-power traction shearer was officially launched at the Taiyuan Mining Machinery Group Co., Ltd. in Shanxi. The advanced machine is set to be delivered to Shenhua Group's Shanxi Jinshen Energy Co., Ltd. for installation and commissioning, marking a significant milestone in China's coal mining equipment development.
Developed by Taiyuan Group in just six months, this heavy-duty electric haulage shearer is the first high-power electric traction unit ordered by Shanxi Jinshen Energy. Weighing 91 tons, it incorporates cutting-edge technologies such as multi-motor horizontal arrangement, AC frequency conversion speed control, and wireless remote control. These innovations enable the shearer to efficiently meet the production demands of mines with an annual output of up to 6 million tons of coal.
This new model not only enhances operational efficiency but also improves safety and reduces maintenance costs, making it a game-changer in the coal industry. The successful launch highlights Taiyuan Group's growing expertise in developing high-performance mining equipment tailored to the needs of major energy companies like Shenhua Group.
