Luojiang pressure replacement wellhead valve technology successfully applied

Recently, the Southwest Petroleum Bureau's Oil and Gas Testing Center successfully completed a pressure-changing operation on the gas wellhead gate valve of Well Chuanhe No. 127, effectively resolving the blockage caused by calcium deposits through conventional acidification. As a result, the well began producing natural gas at a rate of 56,000 cubic meters per day, marking a successful reconstruction of the old well. Located in Panjiang Town, Luojiang County, near the Kai River, the Chuanhe No. 127 well is part of the Hexing field structure and was previously an aging well. Prior to this operation, the well had a daily unobstructed flow of over 10,000 cubic meters of natural gas. However, during the shut-in period, a leak was detected in the main tree valve, posing a potential safety risk. Traditionally, replacing the tree gate valve would require stabilizing the well with pressure first, which could be time-consuming and costly. The successful application of the pressure-changing wellhead gate valve technology in Well Chuanhe No. 127 not only significantly reduced costs but also avoided any damage to the production layer, ensuring environmental protection and preserving the integrity of the reservoir. This innovative approach demonstrates the effectiveness of modern techniques in revitalizing old wells while maintaining safety and efficiency.
