In order to develop this new product, Wang Chunhui led the R&D team to conquer two major difficulties. One is the vibration problem. As a mini-digging, which is mainly used for urban operations, the vibration noise and other comfort issues are the most important issues. During the product development process, from the optimization of the engine and cab suspension to the cushion design, to the simulation of the cab wall structure, each step of the R&D team has been repeatedly verified through theoretical calculations and experimental tests.
The second is the heat problem. The tailless structure determines that the engine compartment space is very narrow, and the compact layout is more prone to heat balance problems during excavator operation. Through the wind tunnel flow field optimization project in cooperation with universities, Trinity digging R&D personnel carried out multiple optimizations on the air flow field of SY16 and SY35, and redesigned the radiator to improve the heat dissipation performance, achieving a small size and large heat dissipation.
“The development of mini excavators is in line with the company’s global strategy and will contribute to Sany’s efforts to further expand the market, improve product spectrum, and increase company profit growth,” Yu Hongfu said. It is reported that SY16 and SY35 participated in the 2014 CONEXPO-CON/AGG Construction Machinery Expo in the United States to interpret the new international image of SANY.
