Domestic CAD manufacturers earn only 1/50 of foreign manufacturers

For CAD software, this highly specialized product is not as popular as management software such as finance, HR, and CRM, and the revenue of natural CAD software companies is relatively less abundance. The CAD brands currently used in the market are: Autodesk, Dassault, CAXA, Haochen, Zhongwang, etc. Among them, Autodesk and Dassault are the most domestically-manufactured manufacturers. Their annual revenue far exceeds several domestic representative manufacturers. The relevant data for 2010 has not yet been compiled. Take the 2009 data. Autodesk’s highest income was 16.4 billion yuan; Dassault was followed by 11.8 billion yuan; of the three domestic software vendors, CAXA was the highest, reaching 200 million yuan; Hao Chen and Zhongwang were almost the same, with a total of 0.85 billion yuan and 0.8 billion yuan respectively.
The growth rate of domestic CAD manufacturers is about twice that of foreign manufacturers. From the figures of income, it can be seen that the income of domestic CAD manufacturers is 1/50 or even 1/100 of that of foreign manufacturers. Ten billion yuan has become a thing of the past for Autodesk and Dassault. It is a long-term goal for us. At present, it is impractical. However, we have a very good development trend. From the growth rate, we can intuitively see how a company's potential can be. In 2009, the highest-income Autodes growth rate was 20%, including the lowest one of the five manufacturers, including domestic CAD. CAXA and Haochen are respectively 30%, with the highest expectations, an increase of 60%. Although one year's growth rate cannot be arbitrarily asserted which one will maintain the best growth status, it can still compare the growth gap at home and abroad. This can show that the domestic CAD software has been increasingly recognized by the users and has become more and more popular with the increasing emphasis on the importance of intellectual property protection in recent years.
Income supplemented by continuous development Ms. Liang Haixia, vice president of Haochen Software, said that what domestic CAD manufacturers currently need is not how to make money, but how to continue to develop. The author of this view agrees that too quick success and short-term benefits will only be eliminated.
Liang Haixia said that in the CAD field, there are two kinds of companies, one is speculative and the other is continuous. Speculative companies only sell products and solutions by selling insurance, never paying attention to the customer's experience and after-sales services, etc.; continuous-type companies are enterprises with long-term lines. They insist on sustainable development and are willing to be long-distance runners. They pay attention to the integrity of the product. Regardless of product function or product sales, they must be integrated and seamless. They insist on product innovation and ensure good secondary development performance. They focus on the customer's experience and service.
Speculative companies tend to take the opportunity to make money, but it will not be long before they disappear. Sustained companies tend to focus on comprehensive competitiveness and take long-term development as their goal. Such companies will survive long-term and become better and better.
