Since the start of this year, Weichai's export performance has shown strong momentum. From January to April, Weichai Import & Export Co., Ltd. achieved self-export foreign exchange earnings of $18.34 million, representing a 28.45% year-on-year increase. Within this, exports of Weichai products alone reached $7.86 million, marking a significant 61.89% growth compared to the same period last year. Notably, in April, the company’s product exports hit $2.55 million, accounting for over 50% of the total foreign exchange earned in that month for the first time. This highlights the growing strength and momentum behind Weichai’s export activities.
Looking at the export trends from January to April, several key markets have matured and are now contributing significantly to Weichai’s international sales. The Turkish market, for instance, has become a major export hub, with monthly shipments consistently exceeding $300,000. In Iran, the WD615 series diesel engines have established a stable and consistent export volume. Meanwhile, the Sudan, India, and South Africa markets have also seen scale in the export of the 226B diesel engine. Additionally, the WD615 series has entered these markets, becoming a new driver of growth for Weichai’s global exports.
In traditional markets like Vietnam and Bangladesh, Weichai has also performed exceptionally well. From January to April, the company generated $1.91 million in foreign exchange from Vietnam and $760,000 from Bangladesh. Beyond these, emerging markets such as Russia, Belarus, and Ukraine in Eastern Europe show great potential. Ongoing projects are progressing smoothly, and it is expected that export volumes from these regions will soon see substantial growth.
Weichai continues to strengthen its global footprint by expanding its auto parts industry chain and enhancing its presence in both established and emerging markets.
