1. The crusher must be securely mounted on a cement foundation to ensure stability and safety. If the working location changes frequently, both the shredder and the electric motor should be installed on a base made of angle steel to maintain proper alignment and prevent damage during transport.
2. After installation, inspect all components to ensure they are properly tightened. Check the tension of the belt and confirm that the motor shaft and crusher shaft are parallel to avoid misalignment and excessive wear.
3. Before starting the machine, manually rotate the rotor to check for smooth operation and listen for any unusual noises or collisions inside the casing. Ensure the rotor's rotation direction matches the arrow marked on the machine. Also, verify that the motor and grinding unit are well lubricated.
4. Avoid replacing the pulley unless necessary, as this can alter the speed and potentially cause mechanical issues or reduce efficiency.
5. Once the crusher is started, allow it to run idle for 2 to 3 minutes. Only proceed with work after confirming there are no abnormal sounds or vibrations.
6. Feed material evenly to prevent blockages and avoid overloading the machine for extended periods. If you notice unusual noise, excessive bearing temperature, or material spraying from the machine, stop immediately and perform a thorough inspection for faults.
7. Always inspect the incoming materials carefully to ensure no hard objects like metal pieces or stones enter the crushing chamber, which could lead to serious accidents or damage.
8. Workers should not wear gloves while operating the crusher and should stand to the side when feeding material to avoid injury from flying debris. When processing long stems, do not grip them too tightly to prevent hands from being pulled into the machine. The operator must remain at their post while the crusher is in operation.
9. Stop feeding before shutting down the machine. Remove all remaining material from the crushing chamber before turning off the power. After shutdown, clean and perform routine maintenance to ensure the machine remains in good condition.
10. After 300 hours of operation, clean the bearings and replace the lubricating oil. Fill the bearing housing with oil up to one-third of its clearance, but never more than half. If the machine will be idle for an extended period, remove the belt to prevent unnecessary stress on the system.
By following these guidelines, operators can ensure safe, efficient, and long-lasting performance of the crusher. Regular maintenance and careful operation are essential to prevent downtime and extend the lifespan of the equipment.
