On Friday evening around 7:20 PM, I witnessed an intense multi-vehicle incident involving several accidents in Bridgeview near the intersection of 87th Street and Harlem Avenue. At first, there was a two-car collision that had spilled over into the CVS parking lot. Ambulance 3R from Roberts Park, along with Bridgeview Engine Company 405, were dispatched to the scene. As Engine 405's crew was en route, they reported multiple incidents, including another accident near the Shell gas station—a four-to-five-car pile-up—and yet another three-car crash nearby.
The video footage I captured shows the chaotic aftermath. You can see a red vehicle at the entrance of the Shell station, and a witness informed me that this third crash, which I focused on filming, was likely caused by the driver of that car. However, it’s unclear exactly how everything unfolded, but it was definitely a busy night for the Mutual Aid Box Alarm System (MABAS) Division 21. Approximately five individuals were transported to the hospital. If anyone has further details or questions about the events, feel free to share them in the comments section below.
