Lake Zurich has officially joined the departments within MABAS Division 4. Notably, this department boasts a full fleet of vehicles manufactured by Pierce, with a particular emphasis on suppression apparatus. Their fleet includes four Saber engines, a Dash tower ladder, and a versatile squad vehicle mounted on a commercial IHC 4400 chassis. For medical response, the department utilizes a mix of Road Rescue and Medtec Type I ambulances, also equipped with IHC chassis.
The department’s four engines, despite their age ranging from 1997 to 2002, maintain a high level of uniformity. Each carries a substantial amount of water—typically 1,000 gallons—and is fitted with foam tanks to handle various firefighting scenarios. The exception is the downtown engine, which carries 750 gallons of water due to its specific operational requirements.
One of the standout vehicles in their fleet is the IHC Pierce squad, a highly functional and reliable piece of equipment that supports the department's operations. Meanwhile, the Road Rescue ambulance remains a critical component of their EMS capabilities.
Lake Zurich Fire Station 4, situated at 21970 Field Parkway in Deer Park, exemplifies the department's modern infrastructure. With its two-bay design, it mirrors the layout of other outlying stations.
