I just got this message from Steve Redick:
"Hey everyone,
You should check out these photos I took last night at a fire in Cicero. Roosevelt and Austin were the streets where it happened, right on the border with Chicago. The Chicago Fire Department sent a full still response, but Cicero Fire Department had already arrived when we got there. Engine 96 from Chicago was used to supply water to a ladder pipe on Cicero’s Truck 29. It was an abandoned building, and most of the fire was under control by the time I arrived, but I managed to snap some interesting shots, including one of a Cicero engine pumping water from a Chicago hydrant.
Here are a few of the photos I captured:

Let me know what you think!
Best,
Steve"
The fire looked pretty intense, especially with all the elevated master streams battling the flames. You can see how hard both Cicero and Chicago FD worked together to get things under control. There were also a few other departments that showed up to assist, like Forest Park, Lyons, and even Oak Park sent their tower ladder to help out. It's always fascinating to see how these different departments coordinate during a major incident like this.
These photos really capture the scale and effort involved in fighting a commercial building fire. The dedication of the firefighters is clear in every shot, whether they're operating equipment or coordinating with each other.
Anyway, hope you enjoy the pics!
