PRODUCT OVERVIEW:

The LG Vertical Multistage High Pressure Centrifugal Pump is a newly developed fire control electric motor-driven product by our company, tailored to meet the actual market demand for fire pumps and their specific operational requirements. It strictly complies with the GB6245-2006 standard for performance and testing methods of fire pumps issued by the state. All performance indicators have met or exceeded the required standards through testing by the China National Fire Equipment Quality Supervision Center, and it has also obtained the Shanghai fire control product approval certificate.

The XBD-LG series includes two structural types: vertical multi-stage and removable vertical multi-stage, designed to meet various user needs and working conditions.

 

APPLICATIONS: 

The LG Vertical Multistage High Pressure Centrifugal Pump is primarily used in fire hydrant extinguishing systems, automatic sprinkler systems, and other fixed fire protection systems across various enterprises, institutions, construction projects, and high-rise buildings. It can transport clear water containing no solid particles or similar media to water below 100°C. Additionally, it can be used for fire protection, life-sustaining water supply systems, and building and city water supply and drainage.

 

FRAMEWORK DESCRIPTION:

The LG Vertical Multistage High Pressure Centrifugal Pump is coupled with a motor. The pump's shaft is connected to the motor's, ensuring a stable operation with low noise due to the absolute coaxial connection between the pump and motor. The motor uses a Y-type or Y2-type three-phase asynchronous type, which is easy to replace, and the entire unit adopts rigid coupling without calibration for use. Its shaft gland uses a mechanical seal and has a removable structure, making it easy to replace the mechanical seal.

The direction of rotation of the pump is clockwise when viewed from the motor end.

  • 1. The pump features a compact design, small size, and attractive appearance, making it space-efficient for installation. When equipped with an additional hood, it can be used outdoors.
  • 2. Its shaft gland uses a high-quality hard alloy mechanical seal, enhancing the seal’s wear resistance and significantly extending the pump’s service life.
  • 3. The LG Vertical Multistage High Pressure Centrifugal Pump series adopts a removable structure, making it user-friendly for replacing wearing parts like the mechanical seal, as well as for installation and overhaul without disassembling the pipeline system. Its inlet and outlet adopt the same diameter, simplifying pipeline connections.
  • 4. It can operate in either serial or parallel mode according to the required flow and lift head.
  • 5. The inlet and outlet can be installed in the same direction or at angles of 90°C, 180°C, and 270°C to meet different connection requirements.
  • 6. The pump head lift is determined by increasing or decreasing the stage level and the outer diameter of the impeller without changing the installation footprint, a unique feature among pumps.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION:

  • 1. The pipeline should not be supported by the pump during installation, or it would be easily damaged.
  • 2. Both pump and motor are integrally structured and calibrated by the manufacturer at ex-works. So, there is no need to do any adjustment in installation and leaving a very convenient work.
  • 3. Tighten the foot bolts and check them every certain period of time to prevent them from being loose, thus preventing the pump performance from being affected due to a severe vibration of it at starting.
  • 4. Check if there is any hard objects (such as stones, iron sand etc.) inside the flow path of the pump before installation, so as to prevent the flow-passing parts from being damaged during its running.
  • 5. For a convenient service and operation safety, fix an adjusting valve on both inlet and outlet pipelines and a pressure gauge near both inlet and outlet, and for the pump of a high head, a check valve before the gate valve, so as to meet with the accident of power loss such as an abrupt cut-off, thus making sure the pump runs under the best working conditions and extending its duration of use.
  • 6. In case of a sullen head for the pump to be used with, a foot valve has to be mounted and both inlet and outlet pipelines should not have too many bends and water or air leak so as to avoid affecting its suction performance.
  • 7. Mount a filter before the inlet to have any foreign matters stopped there to prevent the flow path against being blocked up and thus keeping the pump's performance well.
  • 8. Move the rotor part before mounting pipelines to see if there is any frictional sound or Jamming and disassemble the pump and check the causes if any.

START AND STOP:

Preparations before starting

  • 1. Turn the coupling with hand, the impeller should not be Jammed and moves flexibly.
  • 2. Open the inlet valve and the exhaust valve to let the liquid full of the pump cavity, then close the exhaust valve.
  • 3. Preheat the pump at 50°C/h if used to for transporting hot liquid the preheat is made by the continuous circulation of the liquid being transported and, in this way, every part of it is evenly heated.
  • 4. First move the pump by several turns to have the lubricating water into the end-face of the mechanical seal.
  • 5. Start the motor to see if it moves in right direction.
