It’s been over a year since the global pandemic reshaped our daily lives and forced businesses to rethink their operations. For many, the early days of the crisis were filled with uncertainty, fear, and disruption. But for companies like Nationwide Coils, it was also a time of resilience, adaptation, and commitment to serving essential needs.

How did your business respond in the first months of the pandemic?

As an essential business under FDA guidelines, we remained operational throughout the crisis, supporting our customers who were also deemed critical. Hospitals and other essential facilities relied heavily on us to maintain indoor climate control systems, which were vital during the health emergency.

Although business slowed compared to pre-pandemic levels, we never had to shut down. We maintained full production and kept our team working at capacity. While we did cut back on non-essential spending and employee perks, we made sure to keep all staff employed and supported.

Did any of your employees test positive for COVID-19? How did you manage that?

There have been a few confirmed cases among our employees, and those individuals followed CDC guidelines by quarantining. Fortunately, these instances didn’t disrupt our operations, and we worked together as a team to keep things running smoothly.

When did you start seeing signs of recovery in your business?

Business remained steady through much of 2021, but we saw a significant increase in demand following the severe winter storm that hit Texas and the central U.S. in mid-February. This event highlighted the importance of reliable HVAC solutions and boosted our workload considerably.

Over nearly two decades in business, we’ve learned to expect fluctuations. With more people vaccinated and restrictions easing, we're cautiously optimistic about what's ahead.

What are your expectations for the coming year?

The future looks promising for Nationwide Coils. We've secured some major contracts, expanded our team, and are excited to move our New York headquarters to a larger, more spacious location. We’re ready to grow, innovate, and continue delivering high-quality solutions to our clients.
