Area Measuring Instrument Instructions
1. Startup:
Turn on the power switch to display the initial screen in scan mode:
"GPS area measuring instrument", "top instrument", "search satellite..." information. At the same time, the figures in the upper left corner rise from 01 to 99, indicating that satellites are being searched.
2. Measurement interface:
After searching for satellite signals (this process may take several minutes), enter the following measurement interface:
"Ready" - gauge status;
"000" - Recorded data points;
"12:18" - real time, 12:18;
"ZD" means automatic mode, "08 means 8 visible satellites;
"Longitude 12011.500158" indicates that the longitude of the location is 120 degrees 11.500158 minutes.
"Latitude 3016.208038" indicates that the location latitude is 36 degrees 16.208038 minutes.
3. Automatic measurement of area:
After entering the measurement interface, you can press the “Start†key to measure. The default mode is “Auto†and the LCD shows “ZDâ€.
Holding the area meter, place it flat and the red “hawk icon†on the left is aligned with the boundary of the farm. Then press the “Start†key to start the measurement. The LCD display is as follows:

At this time, if you press the "Back" button and press the "Start" button again, you will walk around the measured area according to the above method. When you return to the starting position, press the "Area" button to display the average of the two measurement data. details as follows:

If you want to clear the previous measurement records, when the status of the measurement results is displayed, press the "SET" button. Historical records have an impact on the average data.
Press the "Back" button to return to the measurement screen for the next measurement.
4. Manual measurement of area:
When there are buildings, bridges, tunnels, big trees and other obstacles that affect satellite signals on the way, the area should be measured manually. Measure manually and take measurement points at the edge of the measured area. The area enclosed by the measurement points is as consistent as the measured area. The more measurement points, the higher the accuracy.
In the "Ready" state, press the "Set" button to switch the automatic mode to manual mode. The "ZD" in the upper right corner of the screen is displayed as "SD". To start the measurement, press the “Start†key, then press the “Save†key to store a measurement point. Press the “Save†key at the next measurement point, save it in the second measurement point, and operate in sequence. After the last measurement point, press the “Area†button, the instrument will display the area enclosed by all the measurement points.
5. Distance measurement:
After the instrument is turned on and enters the measurement interface, press the “Start†key at the starting point to move the measuring instrument to the end point, and press the “Distance†key to display the distance between these two points.
Press the "Back" button to return to the measurement screen for the next measurement.
6. Note:
1) When the number of satellites is measured in more than 5 and large-scale farmland, the measurement accuracy is higher.
2) Avoid direct sunlight on the LCD screen, resulting in unclear display.
3) When walking along the edge of the measurement area, if there are no satellite signals on some sections of the road, it cannot be measured by automatic method. Instead, it should be measured manually.
7. Parameter index

2) Relative accuracy of area measurement: 5% (<2 mu), 3% (<10 mu), 2% (<50 mu), 1% (100 mu)
