Chongqing Toughman CNC Machine Tool Company is a Sino-Taiwan joint venture. Xu Yansheng, chairman of Tough Guys Machine Tool Company, introduced that the company started R&D and production of large-scale gantry CNC machining centers in 2009. At present, the CNC Gantry Milling Machine, a gantry cutting center, has been successfully developed. Up to now, there have been 12 (sets) sales and put into use.

It is understood that the numerically-controlled machine tools made by Toughman Company are about 50% cheaper than foreign products of the same type, filling the gap in the autonomous production of large-scale CNC gantry machining centers in Chongqing.

Xu Yansheng introduced that the company is currently developing and manufacturing 25,000 rpm high-speed five-axis gantry machining center equipment, which is expected to come out next June, which will fill the gap in the domestic machine tool industry.

Wu Guang, deputy director of the Economic and Information Commission of Chongqing Municipality, introduced that equipment manufacturing is the traditional advantage and pillar industry of Chongqing. However, at present, Chongqing’s equipment manufacturing industry is poor in complete sets of equipment, weak in innovation capacity, and backwards in basic manufacturing, and still does not get rid of extensive growth methods. .

Chongqing's "Twelfth Five-Year Development Plan for Equipment Manufacturing Industry" and "Three-Year Promotion Plan for Equipment Manufacturing Industry" have clearly stated that it is necessary to vigorously create a smart manufacturing equipment industry dominated by numerical control machine tools.
