The international headquarters of Ebbenberg, an expert in exhaust technology, will relocate to the Jiading Industrial Zone in the near future. The new Asian headquarters and the company's first wholly-owned exhaust gas production base in China occupy an area of ​​more than 8,000 square meters, and it took only 10 months to complete the construction. Eberspächer has established joint ventures in Dalian and Changchun since 2003. There, there are approximately 130 employees who assemble exhaust systems and mufflers for three major German high-end OEMs. In 2011, Eberspäch Exhaust Technology Shanghai Co., Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Eberspeh, was officially established. General manager Richard Hu is responsible for the company’s expansion in Asia. “At the initial stage of the company's establishment, we will produce catalytic converters, exhaust manifolds, mufflers, and other products for several international brand passenger car customers in China and Asia. We will also supply local commercial vehicle engine manufacturers. Provide a complete set of commercial vehicle after-treatment systems,†he said. With the continuous expansion of the product line, the company will have nearly 90 employees by 2014 and the number of employees will increase to approximately 400 in the next few years.
