China's first portable meat quality inspection product comes out

To this end, the Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation 203 independently developed an ultra-portable meat quality detector - fresh nose. The fresh nose is highly sensitive and has the advantages of rapid, intelligent and non-destructive detection: it can quickly detect meat freshness in 30 seconds; can distinguish three states of fresh, fresh and metamorphic meat; not directly associated with Measure meat contact to prevent secondary pollution.

As an indispensable component of the human dietary structure, the safety of meat products has been increasingly concerned by consumers. The meat we eat on a daily basis mainly includes pork, beef, lamb, chicken, and fish. These five kinds of meat account for more than 90% of the total meat consumption. Because meat is rich in protein, fat, and minerals, it is rich in nutrients and is a natural medium for microorganisms. Meat is prone to spoilage at room temperature, leading to a decline in meat quality. Meat that is not completely cooked or that has been degraded is not only unable to meet people’s nutritional intake, but also endanger people’s health and cause diseases. Therefore, the detection of meat freshness is extremely important.
The traditional meat quality inspection equipment is huge in size, complicated in operation and high in cost and cannot be directly used by consumers. The fresh nose is based on this pain point and provides consumers with the "last level" of meat and food safety protection. During the process of spoilage, meat generates volatile gas. The fresh nose is based on the detection of the concentration of the volatile gas, and the measurement signal is analyzed and processed to determine the freshness of the meat. The use of a fresh nose in conjunction with a mobile phone app enables rapid detection of various types of meat such as pork, beef, mutton, chicken, and fish.
Now that we have completed the functional verification and the first trial production of the fresh nose principle prototype, we have already had mass production capacity. At present, the fresh nose is being steadily introduced to the market. I believe that in the near future, the fresh nose will surely enter millions of households to protect people's food safety!
