863 project scientific research project radioactive mineral exploration and development technology acceptance

[China Instruments Network Instrument R&D] On May 25, the Office of Experts Group of the Office of Resources and Environment Technology of the 863 Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology accepted and accepted the 863 project “Radioactive Mineral Exploration and Development Technology” project undertaken by the Institute of Geosciences.

The expert group listened to the report on the development of the project by the Geographical Research Institute and agreed that the project completed the approved research task, achieved the approved technical indicators, achieved the expected research objectives, and achieved a series of breakthrough results.

It is reported that the project was led by the Institute of Geosciences and the project of the 863 Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology jointly undertaken with the Chemical and Metallurgy Institute, Chengdu University of Technology, East China Institute of Technology and other institutions. The project was formally approved in May 2012 with four projects . During the implementation process, the key technologies and detection equipment in the exploration, mining and smelting process of hidden sandstone-type uranium deposits were carried out for 4 years of technical research.

In addition, the project has achieved remarkable results in theoretical innovation, breakthroughs in key technologies, and product R&D. It has proposed sandstone-uranium mineralization in superimposed and tectonic activity belts, and developed sandstone-type uranium mineralization environment sand body identification and positioning technologies. Uranium mineralization information detection technology and GIS integrated prediction and evaluation system, etc., forecasted a number of ore-forming target areas in the Ordos basin and the Yili basin, and verified through engineering, breaking new uranium resources. In addition, the project also developed prototypes and software for high-precision energy spectrum detectors, pulsed neutron uranium logging tools and other equipment, and established new technologies for in-situ uranium simulation and control, which further enhanced the exploration of uranium deposits in China. The research and development of nuclear detection instruments and the technical level of uranium mining and smelting have produced good social and economic benefits.
