Tenth Michelin Bibendou Challenge Brazil Opens

This year was the first time that the Michelin Bibiden Challenge was held in South America. Brazil, the host country, has been actively striving for alternatives to fossil fuels for more than 20 years.

During the five-day competition (May 30-June 3), 4,500 guests and participants met with experts from around the world on sustainable transport, experienced nearly 150 vehicles on site, participated in topic discussions, and visited technology exhibitions. Center, attending a press conference.

On the first day of the Challenge, rally and technical tests were conducted: Nearly 80 participating vehicles were classified into three categories: passenger cars, trucks and buses. They competed on their own routes. From the city of Rio, the car heads north to Petrópolis, trucks and buses head west to Resende, and city vehicles compete on the track near the Rio Convention and Exhibition Center. In addition to acceleration, noise, and maneuverability tests, the race also showcases the full-cycle low-energy and low-emission performance of biofuel vehicles such as sugarcane ethanol and electric vehicles.

New energy-saving and environmentally-friendly Michelin ENERGYTM Saver tires: A new generation of safer, more wear-resistant fuel-saving tires, which can save nearly 0.2 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers, and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 4 grams per kilometer.

Tire's first electric hybrid prototype is: can increase the mileage of nearly 10%.

Motor-driven wheels and Michelin Active Wheels: Helps to optimize electric and hybrid vehicle designs.
