A groundbreaking condensate recovery technology has been successfully implemented at Sinopec Yanshan Company. The project was launched just before the New Year, marking a significant step forward in energy efficiency and environmental protection. This innovative system was developed independently by Beijing Ziyuwan Technology Co., Ltd., a company known for its expertise in industrial energy-saving solutions.
According to an official from Sinopec Yanshan, the adoption of this new technology is expected to save over 8,000 tons of water and more than 300 tons of standard coal annually. These savings translate into cost reductions of several hundred thousand yuan per year. The initial investment can be recouped within two years, making it a highly attractive solution for industrial enterprises.
In addition to economic benefits, the implementation of the project will significantly reduce pollution caused by steam dripping, condensate runoff, and wastewater discharge. It will also improve the overall working environment at the facility, contributing to a cleaner and safer production site.
Zi Yuwan’s technical team emphasized that steam condensate contains 20% to 30% of the heat energy found in saturated steam. Therefore, efficient recovery and utilization of condensate is crucial for energy conservation. However, traditional condensate recovery systems often struggle with issues like cavitation, water hammer, and gas blockage, leading to low recovery rates and discouraging companies from pursuing energy-saving upgrades.
To address these challenges, Zi Yuwan introduced a new closed-loop integrated condensate recovery system with proprietary intellectual property. This system features a unique pressure regulator combined with a cavitation elimination device and a high-temperature resistant pump. Together, they effectively eliminate common problems such as cavitation and steam blockage, enabling full closed-loop recovery of both condensate and secondary steam.
The design of the system integrates advanced automation and comprehensive heat energy utilization concepts. This not only enhances the system's automation level but also improves the overall efficiency of heat usage, reducing labor intensity for workers and promoting a more sustainable operation.
