Recently, Shanghai General Motors Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, and will recall the following imported cars from June 20, 2014:
(1) Part of the 2014 import of Cadillac ATS vehicles, the production date is from July 29, 2013 to March 20, 2014. According to the company's statistics, there are 6,981 vehicles in mainland China;
(2) Some of the 2014 models imported Cadillac CTS vehicles, with production dates from November 19, 2013 to March 20, 2014. According to the company's statistics, there are 910 vehicles involved in mainland China;
(3) Some Chevrolet Camaro cars imported from 2011 to 2014, the production date is from March 23, 2011 to June 4, 2012. According to the company's statistics, there are 1,802 vehicles in mainland China.
The imported Cadillac ATS and CTS vehicles in items (1) and (2) of this recall range may not be properly displaced due to the fact that the vehicle gearbox shift zipper is not installed in place, causing the vehicle to fail to shift properly. The vehicle cannot be restarted or accidentally moved, posing a safety hazard.
The imported Chevrolet Comayro car of item (3) of this recall has the problem of the angle arrangement of the ignition key. When the key is in the RUN position, if the driver's knee touches the key, the vehicle may be driving. Turn off the fire, there is a safety hazard.
Shanghai General Motors Co., Ltd. will notify relevant customers through special dealers from June 20, 2014. For the imported Cadillac ATS and CTS vehicles of items (1) and (2), the vehicles will be repaired for free. The zipper protection measures to eliminate hidden dangers, while the free customer service hotline 8008201902 will provide consultation and appointment services; for the imported Chevrolet Comayro car of item (3), the replacement of ignition key will be taken free of charge to eliminate hidden dangers, while free customers Service hotline 8008201912 will provide consultation and reservation services.
