Saudi Arabia’s “Economics†published an exclusive feature magazine to select the top 100 companies in Saudi Arabia in 2012. The top ten rankings were: SABIC, STC, Saudi Power, Ahli Bank , Rajah Bank, Samba Financial Group (SAMBA), Riyadh Bank, Rabig Petrochemicals, Safari Bank, and Shaying Bank. The total revenue of the top 100 companies reached 536 billion riyals (approximately US$142.9 billion), with a total profit of 920 billion riyals (approximately US$24.53 billion), of which the top ten companies earned a total of 382 billion riyals, and their profits reached 650 billion riyals. Eighty-seven of the top 100 companies are joint-stock companies, an increase of 42.6% from 61 companies five years ago. The petrochemical industry, telecommunications industry and banking industry are the three industries with the highest income.
