Residents of Caledonia reported a serious collision between a motorcycle and a large truck on IL-173 near the town. Emergency crews from North Boone Fire District #3 arrived quickly at the scene, where they provided first aid and assisted with traffic control. The cause of the crash is still under investigation, but preliminary reports suggest that weather conditions may have played a role. Local authorities are urging drivers to remain cautious, especially during this time of year when road conditions can be unpredictable.
