On December 12, 2023, around 2:00 PM, the Roselle Fire Department responded to a house fire on Long Avenue in unincorporated Schaumburg. Upon arrival, firefighters found the single-family home fully engulfed in flames. Due to limited water supply, tankers from Roselle, West Chicago, Bloomingdale, and Pingree Grove provided support to Engine 64 until a hydrant could be accessed.
