Smooth Mold Tech Limited is a precision tool making company that specializes in precision machining, including 4-axis CNC milling, CNC turning, wire erosion, and precision machined parts. We work with tight tolerances using Coordinate Measuring Machines to ensure the highest quality standards.
We offer full tool making services from component design, mold design, tool manufacturing, full 3D mold inspection, component inspection, first-off samples, and pre-production samples.
With over ten years of experience in subcontract machining, we utilize advanced technology to produce complex components while meeting tight deadlines.
Our tool repair and modification service can provide emergency repairs, corrections to dies, or general tool maintenance.
We have built a strong reputation for our products both domestically and internationally.
Our Design
We have full in-house design capabilities. We accept 3D data in formats such as x-t, part, igs, step, stp, catia, etc., and 2D data in dxf, dwg, or pdf.
We can perform Mold Flow analysis in-house.
We use full 3D design for molds, ensuring a smooth machining process.
The software we use includes: 3D Tool, AutoCAD, Pro/E, Mold Flow, UG.
Project Management

Equipments
We are equipped with CNC, EDM, WC, and other high-precision machines. We also use CMM (Wenzel) for checking.

Quality Control

1. Quality control planning and DFM report
At the beginning, we analyze customer drawings and part models, identifying key points from the customer and the drawings. This is crucial to ensure positions that affect function and assembly are correctly addressed.
After checking the structure, thickness, and mold flow, we prepare a DFM report for the customer. This report includes information about gate, cooling, structure, mold flow, layout, and mold size. Based on the DFM comments, we design the mold accordingly.
2. Design checking and confirmation
All designs from Smooth Mold are internally reviewed before being sent to the customer. Once all design issues are resolved and confirmed by the customer, we proceed with ordering the steel and starting the cutting process.
3. Mold components machining process control
During the machining of mold components, we check all part dimensions to ensure they meet the required tolerances.
Simple parts are checked with standard equipment, while inserts or parts with complex surfaces are checked using CMM.
