Spiral Chute Introduction
The spiral chute is a modern gravity separation device that utilizes water and the force of gravity to separate minerals based on their density, producing heavy, intermediate, and light products. This equipment is made with fiberglass lined with wear-resistant polyurethane and corundum, offering excellent resistance to corrosion, rust, and wear. It is ideal for mining and ore beneficiation, especially in placer mining environments such as seashores, riverbanks, sandbanks, and stream banks. The spiral chute is known for its low water consumption, compact footprint, high concentration and recovery rates, and strong adaptability.
Application of Spiral Chute
This type of concentrator is suitable for both metallic and non-metallic ores with significant density differences, including iron, chromite, pyrite, tin, tungsten, tantalum, niobium, gold, coal, monazite, rutile, and zircon. It can accommodate various feed sizes, densities, grades, and volumes. The spiral chute is effective for processing materials ranging from 0.6 to 0.03 mm in size, though high mud content may negatively affect the separation process. Currently, it is widely used in the treatment of iron ore, tungsten, tin, niobium-tantalum, coastal, and river placer deposits, as well as gold ore.
Working Principle of Spiral Chute
To use the spiral chute, first, install it and adjust the vertical line. Secure it in a suitable location using timber. Then, deliver the ore slurry to the two feeding openings at the top of the chute using a sand pump, and add supplementary water to adjust the slurry's consistency. As the slurry flows down and rotates, the different specific gravities, grain sizes, and shapes of the particles cause them to separate under centrifugal force and rotational movement. The final concentrate is collected in the ore hopper and transported via pipe, while the tailings are directed to the sand hopper and sent to the sand pond. Afterward, remove the sand pump, completing the entire concentrating process.
