Auto parts project has become a new highlight of Wuhan's introduction of foreign investment


According to the China Economic Information Network, Wuhan added 8 foreign auto parts and components projects this year, with a total investment of nearly 100 million U.S. dollars, contracted foreign investment of more than 69 million U.S. dollars, and auto parts projects have become bright spots in Wuhan in the first quarter.

It is understood that these 8 auto parts projects involve automobile chassis, piston rings, stampings, automotive interiors, etc. Among them, foreign investors are mostly well-known multinational companies, such as ThyssenKrupp Group of Germany, Japan Institute of Science and Technology, American Visteon Corporation. According to relevant sources, MAGNA International, Canada’s seventh-largest auto parts company, has dispatched personnel to visit Wuhan and expressed its hope to invest in Wuhan and join Shenlong’s parts supply chain.

Experts believe that with the expansion of Shenlong Co., Ltd., the establishment of Dongfeng Honda Automobile Co., Ltd., and the relocation of Dongfeng Honda Motor Co., Wuhan, the automobile parts industry in Wuhan has attracted great attention from domestic and foreign companies, and has triggered an upsurge of auto industry visits and investments.
