Suzhou Hi-tech Zone builds the fifth pillar industry - auto parts industry


The first China Auto Parts Suppliers Conference will be held in Suzhou in September next year. With the help of Dongfeng, Suzhou Hi-tech Zone will strive to build the fifth pillar industry of the region—the automobile and parts industry. Recently, the organizers of the China Automotive Technology and Research Center, Suzhou Municipal Government, and other conference organizers held the first information conference at the Press Conference Room of the Beijing China Association for Journalism, which clearly stated that this conference will discuss in depth the key issues affecting the development of China's auto parts industry. As an important part of Suzhou's “One Body, Two Wings” development pattern, the High-tech Zone is working hard to build a car industry highland integrating research and development, production, sales, maintenance and exhibition of automobiles. Currently, there are nearly 30 auto parts companies in the High-tech Zone. By the end of 2004, the output value will reach 1.8 billion yuan, and some products have already reached the world's leading level. For example, NGK produces honeycomb ceramics accounting for 40% of the world market. Interim Intermediate Film (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. produces the largest production volume of the intermediate film in the world.

At the information conference, Guan Aiguo, director of the High-tech Zone Management Committee, said that by 2010, the total output value of the automobile and parts industries in the High-tech Zone will reach 15 billion to 18 billion yuan, and the proportion in the industrial structure will increase to 6%. -8% has become the fifth pillar industry in the region following electronic information, precision machinery, biomedicine, and new materials. The Hi-tech Zone will become one of the largest auto parts industrial bases in China. Around this goal, the High-tech Zone will vigorously attract domestic and foreign auto parts companies to settle in, in order to form a batch of large-scale enterprises for the vehicle factory; around the needs of industrial development, the introduction of well-known auto colleges to cultivate targeted professionals. We will build a group of high-level skilled craft schools, build a number of comprehensive scientific research centers, industrial technology centers, key laboratories, and enterprise technology development centers; at the same time, we will develop related industries such as automotive logistics, repairing, exhibition, and automotive service industries. At present, the High-tech Zone is making every effort to build an auto parts industrial park and an international auto city. Among them, the auto parts industrial park focuses on the development of domestic components and parts import and export; the International Auto City includes 4S auto franchise stores, domestic and foreign auto franchise shops, used car trading markets, vehicle management office certificate centers, auto parts and decoration. Cosmetology and so on, there are currently Buick, Nissan Nissan, French Peugeot and other famous brands of agents to sign up for land purchase.

It is reported that the Auto Parts Suppliers Conference will assist the government in formulating China's auto parts development plan and promoting the cooperation of Chinese companies with auto parts companies at home and abroad. At present, it has been determined that more than 100 companies engaged in the research and development, production and sales of automobiles have participated in the conference.
