Li-ion Battery Burning Resistance Safety Testing EquipmentApplication
This equipment is designed for conducting flammability tests on lithium batteries or battery packs. It features a 102 mm diameter hole in the center of a platform, covered with a steel wire mesh to hold the test sample. An octagonal aluminum mesh is placed around the opening, and the burner is positioned 38 mm above the mesh. The battery is heated until it ignites or explodes, with the combustion time recorded.
Test Method
Each test sample is placed on a screen that covers a 102 mm (4-inch) diameter hole in the center of the platform. The screen is made of steel wire mesh with 20 openings per inch and a wire diameter of 0.43 mm. It is mounted 38 mm above the burner. The sample is heated until it explodes or burns out.
