On September 8, Dow Corning (Zhangjiagang) Co., Ltd., a joint venture invested by Dow Corning Corporation and Wacker Chemie AG in Germany, held a groundbreaking ceremony for its production base in Zhangjiagang City, Jiangsu Province, marking China and the world. The largest silicone production project broke ground.

The production site is located in Zhangjiagang Yangzijiang International Chemical Industrial Park. At the same time, there is a fumed silica plant under construction.
